Preventative Measures

At The Village Dental Practice we believe that taking precautions when it comes to your oral health can have greater benefits in the longer-term. In the COVID environment when access to routine dentistry is far more restricted, this message has never been more important. We will always be available for emergencies and able to provide advice by telephone for routine matters, however, please see the below resources which provide information on how best to look after you oral health.

Children's Oral Hygiene Advice

The Happy Smiles Programme  run by the Health and Social Care Board provides excellent advice on oral health for children. A handy fact sheet and brushing guide can be downloaded here.

The Oral Health Foundation runs an excellent programme called Dental Buddy aimed at children and can be found here.

The Teeth Team website provides information for children, parents and teachers and is accessible here.

Adult's Oral Hygiene Advice

The NHS Eat Well and Live Well websites provide guidance on healthy eating and maintaining a good diet.
